LASH & Associates Medical Legal Consulting provides behind the scenes legal nurse consulting for plaintiff and defense attorneys who handle medically related cases. Our professional nursing experience encompasses multiple types of healthcare settings and medical conditions. We assist attorneys with cost-effective and unbiased analyses of medical and nursing aspects in their cases in order to support attorneys in their business decisions and case strategies.

LASH & Associates strive to establish trusted relationships with attorney clients. To that end, we believe a positive relationship begins with a clear understanding of each attorney’s needs, desired services, deadlines, budget, and priorities. We utilize letter agreements to define mutual expectations and accountabilities. We work on a retainer system and will not exceed budgeted hours without prior approval by the attorney. 

LASH & Associates work diligently to provide quality services and work products. We offer a risk-free guarantee. In the unlikely event that a work product does not meet an attorney’s satisfaction, LASH & Associates will rework the original assignment at no additional charge to the attorney. Our primary goal is to provide value for attorneys.

Christine, a certified legal nurse consultant, founded the company based on a passionate interest in legal aspects of medicine and nursing. Her professional nursing background includes the following:

  • 12 years of direct patient care in hospitals and nursing homes as a staff nurse
  • 5 years of management experience in hospitals and nursing homes as a nursing clinical director and nursing supervisor
  • 8 years of information systems department experience in hospitals as a clinical systems educator
  • 4 years of hospital case manager experience
  • 4 years of university level nursing educator experience focused on medical surgical nursing and legal ethical aspects in nursing
  • 6 years of hospital utilization management experience reviewing electronic medical records for severity of illness and compliance with evidence based treatment guidelines

Christine’s clinical director roles included risk management responsibilities when she worked with a hospital defense attorney and assisted with case investigation and preparation. Her nursing educator experience involved translating complex medical surgical concepts into understandable information to guide nursing students.

Christine has broad based clinical, management, teaching, and utilization review experience. Her successful professional nursing experience in a variety of roles and settings and her legal nurse consulting experience with plaintiff and defense attorneys enables her to assist attorneys to understand the medical and nursing aspects pertinent to their cases.
